A peaceful home doesn’t just happen on its own - it takes intentional thought and care. Our consulting services and digital products teach families in early childhood how to establish and maintain smooth daily routines and uncluttered, nurturing, functional homes where the whole family thrives.

The Independence Edit
Lots of care and time is often put into keeping babies out - out of unsafe cabinets, stairwells, bathrooms, and more (and for good reason as we want to keep our little ones safe)! But as toddlerhood approaches, we coach parents on how they can begin to invite their child in - into daily routines, meal prep, self care, home chores, and more. When toddlers are safely involved in daily home life, they build their self esteem and practical life skills, while fulfilling their intense need for independence - meaning happier, calmer toddlers. You’ll leave your consulting session with:
An understanding of how to implement “freedom within limits” in your home: Creating opportunities in your home for your child to exercise their independence and choice, within the boundaries and limits you set, meaning mutual respect and fewer tantrums
Customized, printable routine charts and visual cues like visual labels and checklists to create predictability and routine, driving peace and calm for the whole family
Action plan for “building for belonging”: simple accommodations and adjustments to make to your physical space to build your toddler’s independence in daily routines like getting dressed, brushing teeth, participating in mealtime routines, and more
A play edit: understanding how to leverage toy rotation, permanent toys, and invitations to play, to minimize toy overwhelm while keeping your toddler engaged and driving independent play
Newborn Nest
We guide expecting and new parents in setting up home systems and daily routines that simplify the newborn days and minimize overwhelm, so you can enjoy the newborn snuggles while your home hums on. You’ll leave your consulting session with:
Baby Registry and Hospital Bag support: what you need, what you don’t, and what we wish we knew as first-time moms
Clothes organization strategies that support simple swapping of ever-changing clothes sizes
An action plan for creating a postpartum care station, baby changing stations, feeding necessities baskets, and an overnight necessities basket, so you’ll be prepared with what you need, when you need it
An intro to toy rotation: realistic, low-effort toy rotation setups that can grow with your baby, supporting your baby’s development while avoiding toy overwhelm

Meet Holly Merullo and Kelly Marques —
Co-Founders of Curated Calm
We're twin sisters, moms to young children, and lifelong believers in the power of a peaceful, nurturing home. Our passion for nurturing children runs deep, rooted in our mother’s 30-year career in early childhood education. Influenced by our upbringing, we both began our own careers in early childcare centers, while pursuing degrees in Elementary Education and Psychology, respectively. We have carried our passions for teaching, guiding, and coaching into our careers- Holly as a certified PreK through Grade 6 teacher, and Kelly as a Change Manager at a global management consulting firm.
Curated Calm blends our two passions: thoughtful home design, and early childhood best practices. We believe a well-designed home, paired with simple, sustainable routines, can have a powerful impact on a child’s growth, development, and emotion regulation - and on the entire family’s well-being and happiness. Curated Calm aims to bring a greater sense of peace to family life, so the beauty of the early childhood years can be appreciated and enjoyed to their fullest extent.
